With the skyrocketing cost of college these days, it's nice to know that the Scholarship Foundation of Indian River County (formerly Dollars for Scholars) offers scholarships to high school students. They raise support from local residents and award scholarships to local students. Last year the foundation awarded 112 college scholarships to 55 local college-bound students totaling $699,500.
