Hi everyone, this is Seth Goldsmith, the Technical Support Ninja at P/D GO and I'm here to talk about how to add an email account to your iOS or iPhone,or iPad devices. So we're starting out here on the home screen. If you don't have the home screen selected you just press the Home button down here at the bottom then click the Settings app which I have right here. Once you get to the settings, just scroll down until you find mail contacts and calendar right here. Alright and we're going to click Add Account right here. There's a lot of different accounts to choose from. We're going to click Other, because this is a privately hosted email account and we'll go ahead and click Add mail right on the new account page. You're all going to want to complete all of the information fields that you see starting with your name. That's, of course, your name not mine and then your email address and password. The description at the very bottom has no bearing on whether the account will work or not but it does make it helpful to name your account based on what you use it for so we're just going to leave it as Positive Design and we'll go ahead and click the next button.

Alright once we get to the next page there's some more settings that need to be applied. You'll notice at the top there's IMAP as well as POP. We're going to make sure we're using IMAP. If you're using a mobile device, you want to make sure you're using IMAP and we're going to go ahead and fill in these fields as well. Alright we've spent some time and filled in all of the fields. Here again we're keeping IMAP selected. Take a look, you've just got your name, email, address, and description here and then we're just going to scroll down and I just want you to make sure you get all these settings right. The hostname for the Incoming Mail Server is mail.pdgo.com. It's the same no matter what domain you have. It's mail.pdgo.com. Enter your username here if it's not already there. It should be and then enter your password if it's not there.

Next we're going to go to the Outgoing Mail Settings. Now this is a little tricky. The easy part is just enter what you have here smtp pdgo.com as your Outgoing Mail Server. Now the tricky part is that Apple put an optional for the username and password. Here that is not optional so be sure that you fill in your email address for your username as well as your complete password here for the Outgoing Mail Server. You will not be able to send mail unless you enter that. Alright go ahead and click Next.

After we've completed all those steps and it's going to go ahead and spend some time verifying. After your iPhone has finished verifying the email account you'll get a page like this that basically wants you to check which services you want to use this account for typical email and notes is just fine so you can just leave it right here and we'll click Save and the job is done. So we've set it up and to get to the mail application then you can just press your Home screen and find the mail application on your iPhone or iPad at Home screen.

Alright again it's been great. If you need any help with your email setup on your mobile devices feel free to give us a call at 888-354-4946 and press option 2 for support or if you're able to send an email, send an email to support@pdgo.com. Thank you and have a great day.
